A Special Goodbye to Ms. Houda Nourallah


Dr. Solh expresses ICARDA's gratitude to Ms. Houda Nourallah for her long and dedicated service.

On 21 August 2015, ICARDA bid farewell to Ms. Houda Nourallah Administrative Officer to the Director General. Ms. Nourallah retired after her dedicated service of 33 years marked by unsurpassed efficiency and excellence.

Ms. Nourallah joined ICARDA in 1982 in Aleppo, Syria, and served the organization tirelessly under different leaderships and through challenging times. Over her tenure with the organization, she worked with four Director Generals and four Board of Chairs and members.

Ms. Nourallah is a symbol of institutional loyalty and an inspiration to many at ICARDA. Colleagues, both present and past, are fondly reminiscing her selfless devotion, forthrightness and total commitment. ICARDA wishes Ms. Nourallah a happy and healthy retired life. She will be greatly missed, not only by the DGO but the whole Center. ICARDA welcomes Mrs. Ourouba Zein el-Deen who has joined the office of the Director General as the new Administrative Officer.
