The Miracle Plant

The prickly pear cactus has been hailed as a miracle plant that could help alleviate hunger in arid regions thanks to its ability to survive in harsh conditions. Listen to Mounir Louhaichi, ICARDA's range ecology and management research scientist, talk about the benefits of the plant during his interview with BBC World Service.
