Strengthening Collaboration with UAE

H.E. Dr Mohamed Said Al-Kindi, Minister of Environment and Water, United Arab Emirates, received Dr Mahmoud Solh, Director General of ICARDA, at his office in Dubai on 26 November. Dr Solh briefed H.E. the Minister on ICARDA’s achievements in the region and acknowledged the Ministry’s support for hosting the ICARDA-APRP office in Dubai since the early days of the Arabian Peninsula Regional Program.

Others present at the meeting included Dr Ahmed Moustafa, ICARDA-APRP Regional Coordinator; and several officials from MWE including H.E. Abdullah Ahmed Bin Abdel Aziz, Acting Under Secretary; Mr Mohamed Abdullah Mohamed Seif Al-Attar, Assistant Under Secretary for Financial Affairs; Dr Abdulah Al Abboudi, Director of Research and Extension Department; Eng. Saeed Hassan Al-Bagham Al-Nuaimi, Head of Research Section & Director of Agriculture Research Station; and Eng. Mansour Ibrahim Mansour, Head of Date Palm Development Section.
