Prof. Dr Shinobu Inanaga Appointed JIRCAS President
Prof. Dr Shinobu Inanaga, member of ICARDA Board of Trustees, joined as President of JIRCAS (Japan International Research Center for Agricultural Sciences) on 1 April 2005. Before accepting this position, he served as Director of the Arid Land Research Center (ALRC) and Professor of Plant Eco-physiology, Tottori University. Dr Inanaga will continue as Visiting Professor at ALRC.

The Board of Trustees, management and staff of ICARDA send their heartiest congratulations to Prof. Dr Inanaga and wish him all success in his new, challenging responsibilities.
