Executive Wing Named After Robert D. Havener
A portrait and plaque were unveiled on Presentation Day to honor the outgoing Chair of ICARDA’s Board of Trustees, Dr Robert Havener. The area in the main administrative building at Tel Hadya, with offices of senior executives, was named the Robert D. Havener Executive Wing.
Dr Havener, who became Board Chair in 1999, passed the responsibility to Dr Margaret Catley-Carlson at the Board’s meeting in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, last week.
The newly named wing houses the offices of the Director General, Assistant Directors General, a boardroom, and other offices.
Mrs Elizabeth Havener unveils her husband’s portrait in the Executive Wing of the main building, named the “Robert D. Havener Executive Wing” in his honor.
