On the third day we did a field trip to Souran, about an hour south of Aleppo. There we visited three different Participatory Plant Breeding sites. Standing on the site of a trial and experiencing first hand the stages of an experiment gave us a direct understand how PPB works. There was animated discussion throughout and afterwards Abou Hassan hosted us for a grand lunch.
