Dr Teresa Christina Fogelberg is an Associate
Director at the Global Reporting Initiative, in the Netherlands Ministry
of Environment. Prior to taking up her current post, she has held various
positions with the Directorate General for International Cooperation,
Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Netherlands: Senior Policy Advisor, West
Africa Division; Coordinator, International Women's Affairs; Head, Special
Program on Women and Development; Head, Research Department; and Deputy
Director and then Acting Director of the Cultural Cooperation, Education
and Research Department. Between 1987 and 1990, Ms Fogelberg was First
Secretary in the Netherlands Embassy in Dakar, and was responsible for
the Netherlands Women in Development and Gender Policy in the Western
Sahel Region. She also led a United States Agency for International Development
project on developing a famine early warning system for Mauritania, and
was a Technical Advisor for the International Labor Organization to the
Ministry of Social Affairs in Mauritania. From 1980 to 1983, she was Associate
Professor, Women in Development, University of Leiden. In the latter half
of the 1990s, she was Head of the Netherlands Delegation to the Consultative
Group on International Agricultural Research and a member of the Group's
Oversight Committee. She has also served as a member of the Board of Trustees
of the International Center for Tropical Agriculture. |
