A specialist in internal medicine, Dr Bakfalouni
is an expert in international healthcare management, economics and policy;
planning, monitoring and evaluation; human resource development; and gender
issues. He is the Deputy Head of the State Planning Commission for International
Cooperation Affairs in Syria. He is a former Advisor to the Head of the
State Planning Commission for Health and International Cooperation; and
Director, Center for Health Studies. He is a member of the Syrian National
Committee for Bioethics; Member of the Board of Directors of the Higher
Institute for Population Studies and Research of the Syrian Ministry of
Higher Education; and Member of the Syrian Scientific Society for Quality.
He is a representative of the Ministry of Health TOKTEN (Transfer of Knowledge
through Expatriate Nationals) of the UNDP in Syria. Dr Bakfalouni has
published several articles, books and monographs. |
