| Mr. Nader Sheikh
Ali is currently Director General of the International Cooperation Division
of the State Planning Commission of the Syrian Arab Republic, responsible
for bilateral and multilateral economic relations; scientific and technical
cooperation; and technical cooperation with international and UN organizations.
Prior to this he was Deputy Head of Section of the Directorate of Environmental
Affairs and Head of Section, Europe, of the Directorate of Foreign Economic
Relations, focusing on economic and technical cooperation with western
European countries. Mr. Sheikh Ali graduated from the Faculty of Economy,
Damascus University, with a BA in Economics and Planning and has a Diploma
of Higher Studies in Population and Development from the Department of
Economy and Planning. Mr. Sheikh Ali is Host Country representative on
ICARDA's Board of Trustees. |
