Objectives
 

The workshop aim was to bring together protected cultivation experts, scientists and growers from the GCC countries, the Netherland and the international and regional organizations to:

• Review the current status and accumulated experiences on protected cultivation in the GCC countries;

• Review the latest development and high-tech options suitable for the region;

• Discuss possibilities for a high-tech innovative greenhouse sector in the GCC countries;

• Strengthen the relationship between growers, private sector and scientists to enhance the greenhouse industry in the GCC counties.
